Just started tesking a package for the Habari Editor.
The plugin includes Jay Salvat's markItUp!, a light weight and extensible markup editor built on jQuery. For extra effects, Eric Martin's simpleModal was also used. You may recognize this combination from Jay's own site. Couldn't resist toying with the two together.

As suggested by freakerz, I worked markItUp! into the Habari editor.

I'm going to say I'm extremely excited with Habari.
The project is great to hack around with and an absolute breeze to manage. Most all of the plugins created so far are very exciting and extremely relevant to modern blogging, such as the ability to add Silos. Silos are Habari's way of managing and organizing media, ...

Update: Ok, GeSHi in comments doesn't function at the moment... Habari has a great validator for comments, which rips up GeSHi.
